Hello, World

Picture of Andrew Kubera

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web.

It's constantly being updated and there is a high probability that it will be reorganized by the next time you visit.

This site is still running on a single board computer, but it's no longer the Raspberry Pi; it's hosted on a RockPi4a, a hexa-core ARM64 machine running the latest Raspbian.

It's still hand written by me, but the frontend has been re-written using the Nuxt framework. This Vue-based framework allows me to generate a static site from many javascriprt files, and adds some optimizations which can boost responsiveness. I used to think any addition of libraries would bulk the website unnecessarily, but now I'm coming around to the idea of the "modern" web stack, with virtual DOMs and event-handlers everywhere. This site should still render without javascript, and indeed it still looks good using the lynx browser.

I'm not sure how many more times I'm going to tear down and attempt to rebuild this page, but rest assured this is not the last.

My blog is now gone, and I'm thinking about what system I will install to replace it.

This is the space where I will share personal & professional thoughts and post (probably) a great variety of ideas and works on my hobbies and interests. I hope some if it will be useful to you and loved ones.
